A eureka moment

Ok, I think I may have found the perfect Ravenclaw-bronze yarn. And a great blue, to go with it, to boot.

Chances are, I've lost at least three-quarters of you with that first sentence. I hope you come back for tomorrow's post.

For the rest of you...those of you who understand the difficulties faced by book purists, take a look at this:

This is the beginning of a felted needle case -- my Transfiguration homework for the House Cup on Ravelry. The yarn: Elann's Peruvian Highland Wool, in Golden Bark and Tapestry Blue. Now, these photos weren't taken in ideal circumstances (11 pm in my basement apartment, under a lamp); I'll try to get another one in natural light tomorrow. But I'm pleased. I think the Golden Bark is closer to bronze than any other yarn I've seen yet.'s not as orange as it looks here. Really.

  1. And the blue is not as gray as it looks! All in all, most excellent colour choices.
