Today I will attempt to knit two socks at once. This is not particularly earth-shattering; many knitters do this every day, using one of a few different methods, in an effort to avoid the dreaded "second sock syndrome" that afflicts many knitters.
I have never suffered from second sock syndrome; I have an acute case of first-sock-phobia. These will be (note uncharacteristic sense of optimism) my first-ever socks.
But this morning I will offer myself up to a practitioner of the two-socks-on-one-long-circular-needle method at a workshop at the Gibsons Landing Fibre Arts Festival.
